On the occasion of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Day, Students EXNORA Club and JCI Karur Diamonds are jointly organized a tree planting ceremony. The event was held under the chairmanship of District Collector, Hon. Thangavel, and saw the distribution of 5,000 saplings to students for planting in their homes.Youth EXNORA Founder Mr. Mohan, CM Green Fellow Mr. Gopal and JCI Karur Diamonds President Mr. Nagarajan, who were present as special guests at the event, has distributed saplings to the students and planted trees within the college campus, adding value and enthusiasm to the event. They also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of tree planting, stating that “If we want to increase rainfall, we must increase the number of trees only when forests and hills are preserved can we protect the future generations”.
The event was also graced by the Principal Dr P Natesan, Kothai Natesan, Secretary Engineer N Kannan and Vice-Principal Dr. R Rathidevi who played a key role in coordinating the event. Other participants including Mrs A Ramya the coordinator of the event, and Students EXNORA Club coordinators Mrs T Nithya and Mrs Rajeshwari and all the department heads, professors, and students, who actively took part in the tree planting ceremony. . In the end, Students EXNORA Club Co-Coordinator Ms A Roobasri delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and organizers. As we plant these trees, we not only enrich our environment but also symbolize our commitment to growth, sustainability, and a greener future . The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a part of the Indian Red Cross Society. In our college this club educates young people on how to care for themselves and others.
