Wisdom Association–2k23“Inauguration function was celebrated in the Auditorium on 19th July 2023 at 10.00 am. Dr. SUMITHRA, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce, Delivered a lecture on “BEING A WINNER.
Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) was established in the year 2018. The department is the groundbreaking department in Arasu College of arts and Science. It offers B.Com (PA), Add on Courses, Diploma course of Co-Operative Management and Banking Coaching Classes. The department is constantly striving to offer relevant and updated courses with practical dimension to provide dynamic business environment with equipped Personnel. We provide the high quality of education; the department has adequate number of qualified staff members and well- equipped infrastructure which helps to develop students’ knowledge. This program greatly helps for improving on the employability skills in the recent era. The department continuously provides opportunity to explore their potential through seminars, conferences, internships and industrial visit. We also encourage our students to participate inter and intra collegiate competitions and events to show their talents and skills. Our students got First 10 University Rank in 2023. B. Com PA students enjoy higher employability. Our students are placed in various companies like TCS, EQUITAS, BLUECHIP, MUTHOOT FINANCE, TVS, RBL BANK, BAJAJ FINSERV, TEAMLEASE FOUNDATION, INDIA POST PAYMENT BANK etc in various district. The students and staff members are very happy in our department.
The primary career path is to become a Chartered Accountant, offering services in auditing, taxation, and financial management.

Assisting individuals in financial planning and investment.
Working in finance departments of corporations, managing financial strategies.

Department of Commerce Conducted Quiz time on 05.09.2023 at Auditorium. The Quiz time Programme was held on 5th September at Arasu college of arts and Science for women, Karur. Commerce, Commerce CA, and BBA with B.Com (PA) students divided into 3teams. Mrs.T.Yamuna has conducted this quiz and allotted the marks. Finally Our department got winners in Quiz time Competition
The one day seminar on Commodity derivatives will be conducted on13.09.2023. Mr. R J Sooraj, Manager, MCX, Tamilnadu delivered his Lecture on Commodity Derivatives to the students.
Totally 12 students participated in this event on stage. 6 students supported online transaction, because it saves time and energy of human being. Other 6 students were opposed online transaction and supported offline transaction.
Nearly 300 student audiences have enjoyed the students speech. Mrs.T.Yamuna, Head of commerce has judged this session. After the session, Mr.N.Kannan appreciated all the students’ efforts.

Dr. JEYARAJ SONAI SINGARAM Faculty of Accounting & Finance, Sino –British College UK explained every nook and corner regarding the Topic “WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A STEP FORWARD TO EMPOWERNMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY very clearly to the students. In this Session our College and Inter college students Participated and Paper under the topic of Women entrepreneurship.
In this Programe our Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) faculties Published Two Books- ISSN, ISBN. This Books contents 50 research papers from our and inter College faculties.
Department of Commerce organized COMMERCE BAZAR on 21.02.2024 at College ground. Our department students take path in this programme. The programme Totally 70 retail shops opened and students are participated in the Ground. It develops the students business skill. Nearly 1300 audience have enjoyed this bazaar.
Banking coaching class were conducted in our department on 05.02.2024 at 9.45 am in smart class room. P.S. Srikrishnan selection committee member in bank . Our students can join in banking class.
1. Association inauguration function held on 30th Aug 2023 and association named as Wisdom President,vicepresident,secretary and treasurer were selected.
2. Guest lecture was given by Mr.RS.Ravichandran, Advocate and GST consultant in the topic of “Journey of GST in India”.
Students participated and presented paper in Jairams College ,Karur and V.Suguna of II B.Com (PA) got the third prize.
Our department were arranged a one day Industrial visit to SPB Mills, Erode and 25 students from our department were participated and gain knowledge from the trip.

Our department were arranged a seminor on Women Entrepreneurship and self development in collabration with state bank of India in Feb,14 2023 11.45 AM in our college auditorium.
Our department were arranged a work shop on Digital payment system in collabration with state bank of India in Feb,14 2023 12.30 PM in our college auditorium.
Our department have conducted a career guidance program , Dr.C.Paramasivan, Associate professor, Department of Commerce, Thanthaiperiyar arts and science college, Trichy has shared his views about the professions on 15th Feb, 2023.
Our college have conducted Two days Multi disciplinery conference on Research in Contemporary Era On 17th and 18th march and our students from I B.Com (PA) have presented 2 papers and II B.Com (PA) have presented 6 papers received best performer award.
