We organized a Guest Lecture programme on“How to excel in Accountancy” 0n 23.08.2022 presided by Dr.Swaminathan R, Assosiate Professor of Commerce, Government Arts College, Kumulur, Lalgudi. All the students of our department were attended the seminar and gained practical knowledge about the accountancy with real time examples.

On 22nd February 2023, Our PG Department of Commerce organized an awareness program on Mutual Fund – Naan Muthalvan course.Mrs. Menaga, Mrs. Gomathi, Mrs. Mohana from NSE academy were the trainers of this programme.

Seminar on “Career Opportunities for Commerce Graduates” was held on 30th August 2022. Dr. R. Bhuvaneshwari, Asst. Professor in Commerce, Nandha Arts and Science College, Erode was a resource person for this seminar.

Seminar On “Women Entrepreneur and Self Development” was organized by our department in association with the State Bank of India was held on 14.2.23. Mrs. D. Priyadharshini, Branch Manager, SBI, Pugalur Branch was the resource person.

Our Department organized a seminar on Career Guidance for our final year students which was held on 15th February 2023. Dr. C. Paramasivan, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Periyar EVR college, Trichy was the guest of honour. Interactive session with the students was held to discuss about the career prospects related to commerce subject.

We are organised one day seminar on “GST- Indirect Taxation System in India” was held on 11th January 2024. Mr. R. Jeyapandian M.Com., Former tax officer Government of India was a resource person for this seminar. The students gathered the doubts regarding GST with many doubt clearing session.mostly 110 students are participated in enthusiastic manner.

We made an Industrial visit to “VEEGRIP BELTS Pvt Ltd” Madurai on 09.04.2022.


Our Department students went on an Educational tour to “Kerala” on 26.05.2022 and 27.05.2022.

We Organized 2 Days International Conference on “Impact of COVID Indian – World Economy and World Economy” on 28.04.2022 to 29.04.2022.

We are proudly organized One day International Conference on “Women Entrepreneurship: A step forward to empowerment & sustainability” on 16.02.2024. Dr.Jeyaraj sonai singaram , faculty of accounting and finance, Sino British College (Aprtnership program with Staffordshire University, UK), Dr. C.Paramasivan , Associate professor & Research advisor, PG Dept of Commerce , Thhanthai periyar government college of arts & Science, Trichirapalli, Dr.R.Mathavan - AP & Dr.N.Sivakumar – AP, PG Department of commerce , Kandasamy Kandar College , P.Velur, Namakkal.

Our Department Students attended Workshop in KKC College in Vellore on 13.05.2022.

A one day workshop on “Digital Payment System” was organized by our department on 14th February 2023. Mr. M. Lenin, Regional Manager, SBI Regional office, Karur was the resource person. Our department students attended this workshop and got a practical exposure on different types of digital payment methods and UPI ids.

MoU:

Our department signed a MOU with Indian Accounting Association on 15.2.23. Under this Collaboration few initiative programs were organized this year.

      




Our Department final year students attended an Internship training in Auditors office, Share market, companies and insurance office in the month of December.

We organized proudly a programme of “RESEARCH PAPER PRESENTATION” on 07.09.2023 & 08.09.2023 with the presence of Advocate N.Kannan, Secretary , Arasu College of Arts &Science for Women. Nearly 25 students presented their Research Papers successfully.

DEBATE:

We organized “DEBATE” On “Which is Easy and Safe way to Transfer Money? Online Vs Offline “ on 14.09.2023 . Mostly 12 students participated in this event on stage with commerce and management department.

QUIZ:

We organized “QUIZ” On 05.09.2023 . Nearby 15 students involved in this event with commerce and management department.

TALK SHOW:

We organized “ TALK SHOW” on “Job Vs Business” and “Money Vs Knowledge” on 13.09.2023 . Mostly 20 students were partakers with commerce and management department.

COMMERCE BAZZAR:

We are proudly organized “COMMERCE BAZAAR” on 21.02.2024 with commerce & management department. It was inaugurated by Advocate N.Kannan, Secretay – Arasu group of institutions.

STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Our department students participated and presented their papers in various seminars and conferences conducted by various colleges like KandaswamiKandar College, Jairams Arts and Science College, Karur etc.

Our department students attended a National level workshop on Share market organized by KarurVellalar College of Arts and Science for women, Karur.

Our Department final year students attended a national level webinar on Managing Personal finance and Wealth creation organized by Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI) on 13.3.23.

Our Department students participated and won prizes on various competitions in Impulse’23 event organized by our college.

Our Department students R.Manisa, S.T.Mukila, H.Krupa, R.Ramya, of II B.Com-C.A, R.Hemarubini, R.Harishasri, K.Archana, ofIM.Com-C.A, presented their papers in the Mulitidisciplinary conference on “Research in Contemporary Era” organized by our college.

Our student R.Sandhiya III-B.COM CA has won the II Prize in tamil composition writing competition on Kamarajar Birthday Celebration & I-Prize in tamil composition writing competition in “Ulaha Thaimozhi Thinam “organized by PG Department of Tamil in our college.

Our Department students participated and won prizes on various competitions in Impulse 2k24 event organized by our college.
